Raleigh, NC (May 3, 2004) - To provide electronics systems designers with easy access to all standard thick film chip resistors, resistor manufacturer SEI electronics, Inc. has redesigned its line of engineering kits for the 0402 to 1206 sizes in both 1% and 5% tolerances.

SEI Product Manager Kory Schroeder explained the reason for the change in the engineering kit design. “Our previous engineering kits were not comprehensive. There was the possibility that the required value was not provided. These new kits contain 30 pieces of all 1% and 5% resistance values.”

The new engineering kits contain all standard values from 10 ohm to 1Mohm. For a 1% kit, this means all 481 standard E96 values between 10 ohm and 1Mohm. The 5% kits contain all 122 standard E24 values between 10ohm and 1Mohm, including the zero ohm jumper. All kits contain 30 pieces of each value on tape and reel strips.

Kits are priced at $150.00 for the 1% kit and $75.00 for the 5% kit, with 0603, 0805 and 1206 kits available from stock. 0402 kits will be available from stock by June 1. Customized kits are also available.
