Raleigh, NC (July 1, 2004) - Resistor manufacturer SEI electronics, Inc. today unveiled it’s short leadtime wirewound program. Dubbed SEI FAST, SEI guarantees deliveries of limited quantities of the most popular wirewound series in two or three weeks, depending on the product type.

SEI Director of Sales Rob Hudspeth explained the reason for the introduction of this program. "Customers are accustomed to resistors being available from stock…but wirewound resistors are different. With the wide variety of housings, power ratings and custom ohmic values, it’s not practical to have all products available from stock. With many manufacturer’s wirewound leadtimes extending to 14-16 weeks, we feel there is a market need for this service."

The SEI FAST program features guaranteed two week deliveries on the surface mount SM series and precision axial leaded WW series for quantities up to 1,000pcs. For the ceramic housed CB series, deliveries are guaranteed within three weeks after receipt of order.
