Raleigh, N.C. (October 5, 2005) - Stackpole Electronics, Inc.’s popular SEI FAST program http://www.seielect.com/SEIFast.htm now includes a broad line of current sensing resistors with guaranteed delivery in 3 weeks for quantities up to 50,000pcs.
The CSR Series of current sense resistors is available in industry standard sizes from 0402 to 2512. The CSR Series offers resistances from .0005 Ohms to 4.7 Ohms and tolerances to 1%, with TCRs (temperature coefficients of resistance) as low as 50ppm.
Stackpole’s Director of Sales Rob Hudspeth, explained that the SEI FAST program was implemented to address a specific need in the marketplace. ”In the last quarter, we have witnessed an increasing number of current sense resistor inquiries, particularly from engineering design firms and tier 2 CEM’s trying to complete lower volume prototype runs. In many instances competitor’s lead times have stretched to 12 weeks, and we’ve been able to deliver in 3 weeks.
The CSR Series of resistors are used in applications requiring battery management circuitry for cell phones, PDA’s, laptop computers and medical devices, audio equipment and power supplies. Stackpole offers the CSR Series of resistors in non-standard resistance values.
Typical pricing ranges from $0.10 to $0.20 in quantities up to 50,000pcs.
